In this audio clip a CMS, Gomtinagar Lucknow, KG class teacher (Madam Prerna) is using intimidation to get the desired behaviour from children.
She threatens that there is a possibility that someone might kidnap you and “CHOP YOUR HANDS AND FEET”. Hence you should do what I am saying.
From the teacher’s perspective, she is doing this to protect the kids. However, children will learn this technique and use this kind of threat from here onwards in their life against anyone whom they want to convince or intimidate. And some unique kids could take this more seriously and create bigger problems as a consequence of this conversation they learnt from the teacher. That our teacher only taught us this.
In a class of 60 students, there will be 60 different opinions from the same statement. Imparting knowledge is different from cultivating Intelligence. Teachers will have to think about the consequences of extreme statements in front of small kids. Becuase knowledge may get used either in your Favour or Against.
Just a thought, that she could have explained something else, like they will never be able to watch their favourite cartoon, or become a doctor or engineer if they do not follow the process. And will end up becoming a peon or a worker who does not have high intelligence.
